| I'm removing the listings by date that have been on this page for several years. I am no longer making drawings in the same way or at the same pace, but having this "drawings by date" page puts pressure on me to either produce drawings for the site constantly or to feel terribly guilty when I'm not doing so ... Lately I've been in a "feeling terribly guilty" stage. I think that without this pressure, I will be able to draw more comfortably and try things I wouldn't have knowing that everything I did would be seen on the site. There are many art projects I've been wanting to work on, some in areas where I haven't yet ventured, and I'm very much looking forward to working on those, beginning right now since the Christmas crush is just about over with. I will, of course, still be adding pictures to the site (and removing some from time to time). - Jean (December 22, 2009) |
